Tigger displays a scrolling ticker – either in the menubar or in a floating window. The actual content is provided by plug-ins, third party applications or through Tigger's AppleScript interface.
There are several plug-ins available:
- News Ticker (displays news headlines from RSS feeds)
- iTunes Ticker (display current iTunes or Audion track)
- Birthday Ticker (searches Address Book and displays birthdays)
- Mail Ticker (displays new mail count)
- Time Ticker (displays date and time)
- Battery Ticker (display battery status)
- Smiley Ticker (displays random Smileys and arbitrary images)
Additionally, Tigger comes with a display plug-in for Growl (http://www.growl.info).
Limitations:
The unregistered version display a registration reminder from time to time.
