NetStaller™ uses Windows Installer MSI packages technology, which is included with all Windows 2000 and XP operating systems and 90% of Windows 9x PCs. All a system administrator has to do is to install NetStaller™ on his own computer (server) and indicate which computers have to be included in installation or removal list (or select All Computers checkbox).
The program can install any application (supplied in MSI package) remotely. There is no need to walk over to each workstation, create new groups, modify group policies or pre-install any “helper software”, like installation agents. Network users will not be aware of the process, which will be running in background.
In fact, even if a user lacks the installation privileges, NetStaller will overrule it and install the program anyway by using administrator rights. The program removes PC applications in a similar manner.
NetStaller is an easy-to-use program aimed to facilitate the process of installing Windows Installer (.msi) software on computers of your network.
Features:
· Working with all programs that have installation packages of the Windows Installer type with the .msi extension. NetStaller™ uses Windows Installer MSI packages technology, which is included with all Windows 2000 and XP operating systems and 90% of Windows 9x PCs. The program can install any application (supplied in MSI package) remotely.
· Installing software on network computers. After you chose the program (package) you want to install, just select the checkboxes of the computers where it must be installed and click “Install”. NetStaller™ will do the rest of the job ! Of course, you can select the entire domain or workgroup and the package will be installed on all computers on the network.
· Uninstalling programs from network computers. The reverse operation is also possible: select the program (package) to be uninstalled, select the computers it must be uninstalled from and click “Remove”. NetStaller™ will do this for you as well!
· Invisible working mode. The process of installing or uninstalling software on a remote computer is absolutely imperceptible to the user who is working on the computer at the moment. Moreover, the user can have no rights for installation, but it does not matter because all installation/uninstallation operations are performed in a separate thread (stream) with your rights.
· Synchronous (multi-thread) processing. NetStaller™ processes each installation or uninstallation request in a separate thread (stream). In other words, it processes all requests simultaneously. This can dramatically accelerate its work.
